Man dead in driveway was shot at least three times

Not for nothing, but the victim has been in and out of the court system for Felonious assault, aggravated burglary, receiving stolen property, carrying concealed weapon, etc....most of which cases were dismissed by our wonderful legal heroes. I like to think people like that can change, but it looks as though Mr Mcgeorge won't get the chance. Another case of a man trying to live by the sword.

I am the mother of Mr. McGeorge's only child, and I can easily say that throughout his years he has made his share of mistakes. But the comment made about his multiple visits in jail was uncalled for. Many people judge others based on what they hear, not the facts. And the fact of the matter is Billy was a very good friend and father. So until you know the whole story (which you don't) you have nothing to speak on........

Not to defend boardmanneedschange's comment, but the sad side to this loss of life is that it seems to be an everday occurrence in the City of Youngstown; such an everyday occurrence that it is almost an "expected" occurrence; making the loss of life, just another statistic; the storyline not emitting the human aspect of this person having a Family that really loved him. My heartfelt condolences go out to his Family, but, "What" caused this to happen, and "Why"? I believe boardmanneedschange is trying to express the opinion that this individual initiated some type of event that provoked the "shooting" and subsequent loss of life by engaging in a pattern of "against the law" actions.

Although it has been awhile since I'd seen Billy, I was saddened by the news of his death. Billy was a good friend, and a great man. No matter what he may have or may not have done during the course of his life, it does not justify the way in which he was taken from his family and friends. My prayers and love are sent to his mother. As for the ones who judge a man they did not know, well you only show your ignorance.

Killings in the Valley have affected many families. Life was meant to be enjoyed and not to be spent suffering. Many ministers in the Valley are trying to break the cycle of violence. God Bless them for their efforts.

first and foremost i would like to give my condonice to billy family and son. its been a while (around 15yrs. at lease)since i last seen you,wow i never would of guess it ended up like this, people always try to put evil, and all the wrong turns you took in your life, and use them against you. but for the people who knew billy, knew he was charming, handsome, and just laid back, well thats the billy i knew. (D.T.H.)i remember those days. i remember that day so clearly, the day i recivied a call saying billy is dead, all i could say was dang. such a short life. you will be misses and i love you R.I.P.(people only get one impression,to all those haters dont mess his up, live you life cause hes is gone and remember god always has the last sayso).

Sad. It is almost like you are saying "good riddence to bad rubbish". NO ONE should be shot dead. Period. My sympathies to his family and his son.

So sad, another senseless murder, another child to be raised only by his mother. Mr. Mayor, this has to STOP, figure out a way. Too many families are being destroyed.

wow. I was pointing out that it was unfortunate that this man won't have an opportunity to change because he was gunned down. Although I am not positive that his killing resulted in something he was currently involved in, I can be 50% sure that it was his past that came back to bite him. Thus the living by the sword comment, and the reference to his checkered past.Or I could be wrong and it was a case of wrong place wrong time. Either way, its a shame he wont get a chance.

Why don't you people stop blaming the city of Youngstown and take responsibility for your own! His record speaks for itself! It's only a matter of time when you live this life that it catches up to you. I personally see this on a day to day basis and see what these young men and women have on themselves after being killed (aka drugs,guns, lots of money,(not saying this incident involved that) but again his record shows he has been involved in a life of crime. Yes, he may have been a good dad but lets stop blaming everyone else! It was his own fault he was in the situation he was in to even be shot! Tragic, yes very tragic. The City of Youngstown is not making these men and women go out and make a living selling drugs and carrying guns! It is their own decision and therefor they are living and dying by the sword!

i encourage everyone to go out and do a ride along with a youngstown officer and see what they go through on a day to day basis! Its actually unbelievable! Way under paid, dealing with the worst of the worst and putting their lives on the line every single day they put their vests on! Try it, just once and I promise you will stop blaming the city, its officers and the mayor! THE BOTTOM LINE IS ITS ABOUT DRUGS, GUNS, MONEY AND TERRITORY!! Instead of going and getting jobs and contributing to society most of them are on Medicare, Medicaid, SSI or some other form of disability but are out there on the streets doing wrong! It catches up to all of them one way or the other! And if they are not shot and killed they go to prison and we have to pay for them! GOT TO LOVE SOCIETY!

Cavs, it IS about the mayor stopping Guns, Drugs and Terrorities, Unfortunately our finest will have to be the ones to do it, but the neighbors sure can't. These people have a job, they sell drugs and are getting paid better than we are, them getting picked off by one another will take forever, instead of them ending up dead, by eliminating the problem, everyone wins.
